Holmbury Hill

Holmbury Hill is an Iron Age hillfort in Surrey, England, rising to 261 metres (856 ft) above sea level along the Greensand Ridge[1]. Its name derives from Old Saxon: "holm" means hill and "bury" means fortified place[1]. The summit sits about 245 metres from the village of Holmbury St. Mary, historically part of the parish of Shere[1].
