Muntham Court Romano-British Site

The Muntham Court Romano-British site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument on the western edge of Findon village in West Sussex, England. Excavated between 1954 and 1956, the site revealed an Iron Age settlement overlaid by a Romano-British shrine, with occupation spanning the 1st to 4th centuries AD. Features include house structures, trackways, field boundaries, and a circular temple or shrine on the hilltop. A 76m-deep Roman well lies to the south, and excavations produced the bronze 'Muntham Boar' plaque, now displayed in Worthing Museum.
