Alte Burg, Langenenslingen

Alte Burg is a large Celtic hillfort in Langenenslingen, Baden-Württemberg, dating to the 7th century BC. The tongue-shaped plateau covers approximately 2 hectares and is fortified with two exterior ramparts and a deep moat. It may have served as a cult or assembly site for the regional population. Located 9 km from the major Hallstatt and early La Tène settlement of Heuneburg, it was likely a secondary center in the Heuneburg's territorial network.[1][2]
