Türkenfeld

Turkenfeld is a municipality in the district of Furstenfeldbruck, Bavaria, located about 37 km west of Munich. The area shows evidence of continuous human habitation from the Neolithic period onward. The earliest archaeological evidence is a Neolithic burial site, and several Bronze Age tumuli from the Middle Bronze Age Tumulus culture (c. 1600-1300 BC) have been found in the surrounding area. Roman coins have also been discovered, indicating activity during the Roman period. The municipality incorporates the communities of Burgholz, Klotzau, Pleitmannswang, and Zankenhausen.
