King's Castle, Wiveliscombe

King's Castle is an Iron Age hillfort located 1 km east of Wiveliscombe in Somerset, England[1]. The site features two concentric banks separated by a ditch, with the inner wall reaching up to 2.5 metres in height and the outer wall up to 1.5 metres[1]. Archaeological excavations have uncovered Neolithic artifacts including arrowheads, scrapers, and borers, indicating long-term human activity at the site[1]. A significant find is a coin hoard of 1139 coins buried in a pot at a depth of 0.30 metres[1].
