Long Wood Enclosure

A small enclosure in West Somerset, England, possibly a univallate Iron Age hill fort, located approximately 3.5 km southwest of the village of Dunster. The enclosure is roughly 40 m in diameter, covering about 0.15 hectares, and is surrounded by a bank and ditch about 6.5 m wide and 1.9 m high. The original entrance is likely a break in the bank opposite a causeway on the uphill southwesterly side. Scheduled as an ancient monument, the site has suffered damage in recent years from forestry plantation.
