Dead Woman's Ditch

Dead Woman's Ditch is a prehistoric linear earthwork in Over Stowey, Somerset, England, on the Quantock Hills [1]. It consists of a bank with a ditch along the west side, running approximately 950 metres (3,120 ft) from Lady's Fountain spring across Robin Uprights Hill into Ramscombe. Scheduled as an ancient monument, its origin predates 4500 BC, but its purpose remains unknown, though it has been linked to the nearby hillfort at Dowsborough.
