Curdon Camp

Curdon Camp is an Iron Age enclosure approximately 1.3 km northwest of Stogumber in Somerset, England, designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument [1] [2]. The site may have functioned as a domestic or agricultural enclosure similar to Trendle Ring rather than a defensive hillfort [3] [4]. It was nearly completely destroyed by quarrying and the bulldozing of its southern rampart in spring 1964, with only fragments of the western and southwestern banks surviving [1] [3].
