The Heuneburg is a prehistoric Celtic hillfort on the Danube river in Hundersingen near Herbertingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany [1]. It ranks among the most significant early Celtic centres in Central Europe during the Iron Age Hallstatt culture [1]. The site comprises a fortified citadel with massive stone walls, surrounded by extensive settlement remains and burial areas spanning several centuries [1]. Its strategic position near modern borders with Switzerland and Austria made it a major regional power centre [1].
