Diana Fort is a Roman fort located near Karataš hamlet, 8 km northwest of Kladovo in eastern Serbia[1]. Situated on cliffs of the Đerdap gorge above the Danube, it occupied a strategic position guarding the river frontier[1]. Built during the Tiberian-Claudian period (mid-1st century AD), it formed part of the Roman Moesian Limes frontier system of linked forts[1]. The fort has been extensively excavated and ranks among the most thoroughly explored forts of the Moesian Limes[1]. Today, it is open to visitors as part of the Karataš Archaeological Site[1].
