Timacum Minus

Timacum Minus is a 1st–5th century AD Roman fortress and archaeological site located in the Timok Valley of eastern Serbia, situated near the Ravna Reka river.[1] Established as the oldest military fort in the region, it served as a strategic stronghold for the Roman Empire, coinciding with mining operations and major road construction in the area.[1] The site was declared a Monument of Culture of Great Importance in 1979 and is protected by the Republic of Serbia.[1]
