Vlajkovac

Vlajkovac is a village in the Vrsac municipality of Vojvodina, Serbia, notable for its massive circular earthwork with a diameter of approximately 300 metres, attributed to the Neolithic Vinca culture. Bronze Age graves of south Russian steppe nomads have also been found here. The circles may have served as an astronomical observatory, possibly functioning as a summer counterpart to the nearby Vatin circles. Repeatedly plowed over, the Vlajkovac Circles are now visible only from satellite imagery.
