The Roman Ruins of Tróia is an archaeological site on the left bank of the River Sado, on the Tróia Peninsula opposite Setúbal, in Setúbal District, Portugal [1]. The complex includes extensive fish processing facilities (garum factories), thermal baths, and burial sites dating from the 1st to 6th centuries CE [1] [2]. It represents one of the largest Roman fish sauce production centers on the Iberian Peninsula [1] [3]. The site has been classified as a Portuguese National Monument since 1910 [1] [2].
