Anta do Alto da Toupeira

A Neolithic-Chalcolithic dolmen in the parish of Lousa, Loures municipality, Lisbon District, Portugal, approximately 5.5 metres long and 5 metres wide. Also called Anta de Salemas, its polygonal chamber is built from five limestone slabs and notably lacks the typical entrance corridor found in regional dolmens. First examined by German archaeologists in the early 1940s, with further excavations in 1959 yielding a cylindrical idol and copper tools, now housed at the Geological Museum in Lisbon. Located about 100 metres south of the Cave of Salemas.
