Geißkopf, Central Black Forest

The Geißkopf is a foothill, 359 metres above sea level (NHN), near Berghaupten in Baden-Württemberg, Germany[1]. During the Migration Period (4th-5th century AD), a Roman or Germanic military camp occupied these strategically positioned heights[1]. The hill stands at the exit of the Kinzig valley on the Rhine Plain, rising approximately 200 metres above the plain[2]. It forms the northeastern end of the Bellenwald forest[2].
