Roman Villa Borg

(2nd - 3rd c. AD) The Roman Villa Borg is a reconstructed villa rustica near the villages of Borg and Oberleuken in the municipality of Perl, Saarland, Germany [1]. Discovered at the end of the 19th century, the site was excavated in the late 1980s and reconstruction began in the mid-1990s, virtually completed by late 2008 though excavation continues [1]. The complex features a large palatial residence combined with agricultural facilities [1]. Today it is a popular tourist attraction drawing approximately 50,000 visitors annually [1].
