Ravenglass Roman Bath House

2nd-century Roman bath house at Ravenglass, Cumbria, belonging to a Roman fort and naval base known as Itunocelum. Described by architectural historian Matthew Hyde in the Pevsner Guide to Cumbria as "an astonishing survival"[1]. The ruins retain walls up to 4 metres (13 ft) high with patches of dull red and white cement rendering and traces of splayed window openings[2].
