Roulston Scar is a major Iron Age hillfort located on Sutton Bank, a prominent hill in the Hambleton Hills of North Yorkshire, England. Built around 400 BC, this massive prehistoric earthwork enclosure represents one of the most significant ancient monuments in the region [1]. The hillfort occupies a strategic position with extensive views over the Vale of York and Vale of Mowbray, characteristic of defensive Iron Age settlement patterns in Britain [1]. The site is situated within the North York Moors National Park, in the civil parishes of Cold Kirby and Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe [1].
