Ruther Cross is the weathered shaft of a medieval stone cross situated in Guisborough, Redcar and Cleveland, England. Located near the historic junction where Ruthergate crossed Hutton Lane, this Grade II listed monument dates to the medieval period (c. 1200–1500 AD). The cross marks what was once a significant routeway and serves as a rare surviving example of medieval wayside markers in North Yorkshire. It was officially listed in April 1984.[1]
