GreeceThe Galatas Palace is a Minoan archaeological site on Crete, Greece, located about 30 kilometers southeast of Heraklion [1]. Built on an older Protopalatial settlement dating to the MM IB period, a palace was constructed in the early Neopalatial Period during the Early MM IIIA period [1]. The palatial center was destroyed by a conflagration at the end of the MM IIIA period [1]. The site was discovered in the early 1990s [1].
