GreeceSkotino Cave is one of the largest and most impressive caves in Crete, Greece. It was used as a pagan sanctuary from the 3rd millennium BC until the Roman period, when it was converted into a Christian shrine [1]. The cave is also known as Agia Paraskevi Cave, named after the chapel built on top of it, where an annual festival is held on July 26 [1]. According to archaeologist Paul Faure, the cave may have been the legendary Labyrinth of Crete [1].
