Psychro Cave is an ancient Minoan sacred cave on the Lasithi plateau in eastern Crete [1]. It is traditionally associated with the Diktaean Cave, one of the legendary birthplaces of Zeus in Greek mythology [1]. Since the late nineteenth century, the cave above the modern village of Psychro has been identified with this mythologically significant site, though alternative locations have also been proposed [1].
