Lakkos

Lakkos is the archaeological site of an ancient Minoan settlement on Crete, located just south of Archanes. Excavations in the 1980s uncovered a bronze bull figurine and a bronze chisel, providing evidence of bronze working and the cultural significance of bulls in Minoan society. The site was inhabited during the Minoan Bronze Age period, roughly 3100-1100 BC, and is now classified as a former populated place within the broader Archanes archaeological region.
