Fortifications of Chania

The Fortifications of Chania are defensive walls surrounding the city of Chania in Crete, Greece. The inner city walls originated in antiquity and were later rebuilt by the Byzantine Empire. The outer walls were constructed in the 16th century by the Republic of Venice.
