Redbourn

Redbourn is a village in Hertfordshire, England, on the line of Roman Watling Street, with archaeological evidence spanning from the Iron Age to the Roman period. Southwest of the village lies the Aubreys, an Iron Age hill fort enclosure covering approximately 8 hectares. To the north, a complex of Roman temples was excavated at Friar's Wash by Channel 4's Time Team in 2008, situated in the hinterland of the important Romano-British town of Verulamium (St Albans). The village has been continuously settled since at least Saxon times and appears in the Domesday Book.
