Nine Maidens Stone Circle

The Nine Maidens, also called the Seventeen Brothers, is a Bronze Age cairn circle on Belstone Common on northern Dartmoor, Devon, England [1] [2] [3] [4]. Local folklore claims the stones were maidens turned to stone for dancing on the Sabbath [1].
