Grimspound

Grimspound is a Late Bronze Age settlement on Dartmoor in Devon, England, dating to around 1300 BC. The site comprises 24 circular hut foundations enclosed by a massive granite perimeter wall, which may have originally stood 1.7 metres (5.5 ft) high. The settlement name, first recorded by Reverend Richard Polwhele in 1797, likely derives from the Anglo-Saxon god of war, Grim (another name for Woden or Odin). The hut circles typically measure 3–4.5 metres in diameter, with some featuring stone-lined entrances and internal hearths.[1]
