Burley Wood

Burley Wood is an Iron Age hill fort located north of Lydford in Devon, England[1]. The fort occupies most of a hilltop approximately 220 metres above sea level, overlooking the River Lew[1]. A Norman motte-and-bailey earthwork sits approximately 215 metres above sea level just northeast of the Iron Age fort[1]. The site represents continuous defensive use from the Iron Age through the medieval period[1].
