Almsworthy Common

Almsworthy Common is an area of unenclosed moorland on Exmoor in southwestern England, containing prehistoric stone settings dating from the Late Neolithic to Middle Bronze Age (c. 2500-1000 BC). The site features a multiple stone row of at least 29.8 m with 15 stones in four rows aligned roughly NW-SE, and is a Scheduled Monument. Stone settings are the most common megalithic monuments on Exmoor, likely serving ceremonial or ritual purposes.
