EnglandA hill near Wooler in Northumberland, England, containing an enclosed prehistoric settlement and Iron Age hillfort on its summit. The site features two stone-built ramparts with traces of approximately 20 roundhouses within the inner enclosure and 8 between the ramparts. Never formally excavated, it was surveyed in 1997 and 2000, and is considered one of the most spectacular hillforts in Northumberland. It is a scheduled monument and also the site of the 1402 Battle of Homildon Hill.
