Hadrian's Wall Path

Hadrian's Wall Path is an 84-mile (135 km) National Trail in northern England, established in 2003 as the 15th National Trail. It stretches from Wallsend on the east coast to Bowness-on-Solway on the west coast, following the line of Hadrian's Wall—a Roman frontier fortification built c. 122 AD under Emperor Hadrian. The route traverses the remains of the wall and associated forts, now protected as part of the "Frontiers of the Roman Empire" World Heritage Site [1].
