Weetwood Moor

Weetwood Moor near Wooler, Northumberland, contains prehistoric rock art with about 30 sandstone panels of cup-and-ring markings carved into sandstone, dating to 3800-1500 BC [1][2]. Many carvings feature radial grooves extending from the central cup through concentric rings [2]. The site is a scheduled monument protected under UK heritage law [1].
