Fosbury Camp

Fosbury Camp is an Iron Age bivallate hillfort in Wiltshire, oval in shape and enclosing approximately 10.5 hectares (26 acres). Sitting atop Knolls Down, it is excellently defended by steep natural slopes to the south, southwest, and east. The fort features two concentric ramparts with a medial ditch, the inner rampart rising up to 3 metres high. Attributed to the Atrebates tribe, it was probably constructed during the Middle Iron Age, though its origins may extend back to the Neolithic period. It is a scheduled national monument.
