Balksbury

Balksbury is a Bronze Age hill fort site southwest of Andover, Hampshire [1]. Originally triangular, most was destroyed by the A303 Andover Bypass and housing development [1]. Only the southwest portion survives, up to 1m high [1]. First occupied in the Late Bronze Age, it overlooked the confluence of Pillhill Brook and the River Anton to the southeast, where its single gated entrance faced [1]. The fort was used through the Roman period and is a scheduled ancient monument [1].
