Balksbury

Balksbury is a Bronze Age hill fort site southwest of Andover, Hampshire. Originally triangular, most was destroyed by the A303 Andover Bypass and housing development. Only the southwest portion survives, up to 1m high [1]. First occupied in the Late Bronze Age, it overlooked the confluence of Pillhill Brook and the River Anton to the southeast, where its single gated entrance faced [1]. The fort was used through the Roman period and is a scheduled ancient monument [1].
