Achladia is an archaeological site featuring an ancient Minoan villa on eastern Crete [1]. The villa was excavated by Nicholaos Platon in the 1950s [2]. The building covers 270 square metres with an almost rectangular plan [3]. Its outside walls were constructed using large limestone blocks [4]. The main entrance is located in the middle of the eastern side of the building [5]. The main building is called House A, with remains of a smaller building called House B found to the south [6]. The mansion dates from 1600 BC to 1550 BC and contains 12 apartments with an entrance hall, kitchen, storerooms, and possibly a stall [7][8].
