Slwch Tump

Slwch Tump, also known as Slwch Camp, is an Iron Age hillfort on a sandstone hill at 246 m elevation, about 1.3 km east of Brecon in Powys, Wales. The roughly rectangular enclosure measures approximately 187 by 242 metres with a single encircling scarp 3-4.6 m high and no ditch. Its entrance faces northwest toward Brecon. The hillfort lies within territory attributed to the Silures, a pre-Roman tribe of southeast Wales, and clusters with nearby forts at Pen-y-crug and Coed Fenni-fach, suggesting substantial late prehistoric population in the area.
