Buarth-y-Gaer

Buarth-y-Gaer is an Iron Age hillfort or enclosure on the summit of Mynydd-y-Gaer, 300 m above sea level [1]. It is in Briton Ferry community, near Neath, in Neath Port Talbot, South Wales [1]. Within the enclosed area is a Bronze Age burial mound [1]. The fort is defined by a single bank and ditch which are roughly circular [1]. It is 130 m across and encloses 1.1 ha of rough grassland [1]. The site is a scheduled monument [1].
