Allt yr Esgair

Allt yr Esgair is an Iron Age hillfort in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Powys, Wales[1][2]. The Welsh name translates as 'wooded slope of the ridge'[1]. It takes the form of an earthwork enclosure complex occupying a northwest-southeast aligned ridge rising to 393 metres, with the River Usk valley to the west and south[1][2]. To the northeast, panoramic views extend across Llangorse Lake to the Black Mountains[1]. A viewfinder crowns the summit, erected as a monument to Eirene Lloyd White, Baroness White of Rhymney[1]. The hill is classified as a Marilyn with a topographical prominence of 199 metres[1].
