Mehrgarh

Mehrgarh is a Neolithic archaeological site on the Kacchi Plain of Balochistan, Pakistan, near the Bolan Pass and west of the Indus River [1]. Discovered in 1974 by the French Archaeological Mission led by Jean-François and Catherine Jarrige, it was excavated from 1974-1986 and again from 1997-2000 [1]. The site yielded artifacts from six mounds, with approximately 32,000 artifacts collected [1].
