Lohum Jo Daro

Lohum Jo Daro is an archaeological site in Dadu District, Sindh, Pakistan, dating to 4500-3000 BC. Located near Piaro Goth railway station on the Indus River floodplain, it represents the late phase of the Indus Valley Civilization, comparable to Jhukar-Jo-Daro and Chanhudaro. Excavations led by N.G. Majumdar in the 1930s yielded a terracotta bull figurine, indicating ritual significance. The site's riverside location facilitated trade and agriculture during the Chalcolithic period. Portions of the ancient mound now lie beneath a modern settlement.[1]
