Cloghanmore

Cloghanmore (meaning 'the great stone heap') is a megalithic court tomb in Malin More, Glencolmcille, County Donegal [1]. The monument stretches 46.3 metres in length with an oval court 16 metres long and 12 metres wide, containing twin parallel galleries divided by jamb stones [2]. Uniquely for a court tomb, two decorated orthostats bear passage tomb-style rock art with concentric circles and serpentiform designs [2] [3]. The Board of Works restored the monument in the 1880s after it was uncovered from peat [3].
