Newgrange

Newgrange is a prehistoric passage tomb in County Meath, Ireland, situated on a rise overlooking the River Boyne, 8 km (5 mi) west of Drogheda [1]. Constructed around 3100 BC during the Neolithic Period, it predates Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids [1]. As the principal monument in the Bru na Boinne complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it shares the site with the passage tombs of Knowth and Dowth, along with additional henges, burial mounds and standing stones [1].
