Beltany Stone Circle

Beltany Stone Circle is a Bronze Age stone circle in County Donegal, Ireland, dating to circa 2100–700 BC. Located south of Raphoe, it may have originated as a sacred Neolithic site with possible early passage tomb connections. The circle overlooks the destroyed passage tomb complex at Kilmonaster and is dominated by Croghan Hill, whose summit bears an unexcavated Neolithic mound likely also a passage tomb [1]. The site is a state-owned National Monument in the care of the Office of Public Works [2].
