Townleyhall Passage Grave

Townleyhall Passage Grave, also known as Littlegrange, is a Neolithic chamber tomb built around 3000 BC, located 2 km north of Dowth in County Louth, Ireland. It forms part of the Boyne Valley passage tomb complex alongside Newgrange, Knowth, and Dowth. Excavated by George Eogan in 1960, it was the first Boyne Valley passage tomb to be excavated in modern times. Unlike the cruciform designs of its neighbours, it has a simple rectangular chamber that merges with the entrance passage, making it an undifferentiated passage grave. The site was originally a Neolithic settlement before being converted into a tomb.
