Dowth

Dowth is a Neolithic passage tomb complex near the River Boyne in County Meath, dating to approximately 3200 BC[1]. It forms part of the Brú na Bóinne World Heritage Site alongside Newgrange and Knowth[1]. Unlike its more famous neighbors, Dowth remains largely in ruins following a botched 1847 excavation by the Royal Irish Academy that left a permanent crater in the mound[1]. Despite this, its smaller internal chambers survive largely intact[1].
