Listoghil

Listoghil is the central monument of the Carrowmore megalithic cemetery in County Sligo, Ireland, constructed around 3500 BC. Designated Carrowmore 51, it is 34 metres in diameter and the only cairn in the complex, with surrounding satellite tombs oriented toward it. The chamber contained both cremated and unburned human remains, and the covering stone bears marks that may be the sole example of megalithic art at Carrowmore. Carrowmore is one of Ireland's four great megalithic cemetery complexes and represents some of the earliest passage tombs in Ireland.
