Carrowkeel Megalithic Cemetery

Carrowkeel is a cluster of passage tombs in the Bricklieve Hills of south County Sligo, Ireland, built in the 4th millennium BC during the Neolithic period [1]. The tombs overlook Lough Arrow and are named after the townland where most are situated [1]. They form one of Ireland's 'big four' passage tomb cemeteries, alongside Carrowmore, Brú na Bóinne and Loughcrew [1]. The complex includes Cairn B, Treanmacmurtagh, Sheecor, Treanmor, Carnanweelan and Kesh cairn, occupying the highest terraces of the Bricklieve Mountains [2]. The Carrowkeel tombs are protected National Monuments [1].
