Cirque Romain de Vienne

Built at the end of the 2nd century AD, this Roman circus complex in Vienne, France, is known from 19th-century excavations [1]. Only a unique vestige survives today — the so-called Pyramid of Vienne, locally called "la Pyramide" or "Tomb of Pilate," which is the only ancient Egyptian-style monument still standing in France [1].
