FranceThe Amphitheatre of the Three Gauls was a Roman arena in Lugdunum (modern Lyon), France, part of the Sanctuary of the Three Gauls dedicated to the cult of Rome and Augustus[1]. It was built at the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers, where the 60 Gallic tribes gathered at Lugdunum[1]. In 1961, the site was classified as a monument historique[1].
