Pont de Bornègre

The Pont de Bornègre is a Roman bridge on the ancient aqueduct that carried water to Nîmes, built in the 1st century BC [1]. Located between Saint-Maximin and Argilliers in southern France, it stands 6,745 metres downstream from the Eure spring and 9,061 metres upstream from the Pont du Gard [1]. The structure crosses the intermittent Bordnègre stream, which has a catchment area of 0.6–0.8 km² and a maximum flood flow of about 5 m³/s [1].
